1. Create an Impressive Portfolio. it’s vital for an animator to keep their portfolio and reel up to date.   Place new work on your site regularly , and be professional about it. Of course, new clients will be looking for high-quality animation and illustration work , but typos in a Contact section are a major turnoff to potential customers who value professionalism just as much as aesthetics.   . Make Cold Calls.  After you’ve delivered an animation that a customer is pleased with, don’t be shy to let them know that you’d appreciate them recommending you to some of their colleagues or friends. This allows you to gather names of people to get in contact with and a definitive starting point. But if referrals aren’t forthcoming, it’s still best practice to call prospective customers and let them know what companies you’ve worked with in the past. social media

From my research, it's been highlighted that social media presence is a must; not only does it act as an easily accessible online portfolio, but is a way to self-promote, brand and network. In this role, I balance my daily tasks, meet cross-team project commitments, respond to any issues raised by team members, and plan for the future of the team. All while still paying bills and having a life outside my job. The same can be said about teamwork, communication, writing, management, and creativity ; I have developed these skills through school, jobs, and volunteer work, and I guarantee you have ...
DIARY: Today I researched at the impact of colour in our short film 'Wine's tale'. The two main themes in the film are crows and wine. Although it may be easy to say wine is red and crows are black, I want to further develop with research and use colour to our advantage. From my research, I found that wines hue gives clues to its age. As our story is about the process of making wine, it would be interesting to show how time has passed, especially through each different scene that is being animated by a person. Furthermore, the intensity of colour tells us about the climate of the wine, which would be great for setting an atmosphere and visually telling where the environment is.
