Iteration of beat board

Image
After discussing my beat board, I have been made aware that I need to adapt my story; Less narration and more visual story telling. Because of this, I need to look and analysis and iterate each panel. I have my story, but I need to change the way its shown; thankfully this the perfect stage for experimentation of ways to tell my story. Panel 1: I need to show the moon more as a character. Where does he come from? what is his environment? How does he see the earth? Because of this, I may need to show the moon in his environment first; looking down on earth. potential research: 'Children Of The Light' Inspiration for the moons environment: .

My slides on my beat board and earlier concepts

This is my slide for my beat board; with additional slides of earlier concepts for characters, colour pallets, scenes and mise en scene. I plan to further interactive different ways of showing my story, for example with the earlier concept of the moon been taken over with the shadow. I plan to get my peer's feedback. I need to further develop my colours and finalise, with some concept art that focus on emotions, relationships and atmosphere, this will help with my colour scripts and storyboarding.

Updated Beat Board

Iv updated my beat board, after my group tutorial with Lynsey. Which was suggested I change the village characters into something that connections more with the moon theme. Because of this, I had to adapt my story to fit this in. However, I feel this gives a more circular narrative and fits much better than my previous beat board. My story begins with the moon, and Luna coming down to earth and ends with Luna returning, and the sun rising- a brand new day. I was told not to show the town, but I feel this expands the world of my film. It will not be the main part but a part of the introduction. To connote the dramatic effect of the negativity of one person has on a whole town; and also gives a reason as to why Luna comes down to earth. I have decided to also add narration/voice-over, used often in fairy tales, and means I will do much less lip-sync and characters voices. (Much more economical and time-efficient than working out lip-sync movements and syncing it up in editing.)...
