new script
Idea 1:
Narrator: The night sky was beautiful; each and every star shone beautifully, including the moon.
The bright lights in the dark sky helped guide the world below, acting as a map, reassurance and sometimes enlightening them.
Each and every star was essential and important.
One night a star is missing.
The moon searches for the star using its moonlight.
There he sees it hiding.
The star confesses its surrounded by darkness, and doesn't deserve to be a guide and should hide.
The moon tells her that the darkness helps us shine brighter, and when morning falls the darkness will go away.
Idea 2:
[To people sit on a boat under the stars; the water is calm and still; reflecting the beautiful night sky.]
Narrator: I feel so numb.
Father: Look at how beautiful these stars are.
[cutaway to the father looks up at the stars filled with wonder.]
[cutaway to the son looking down at the deep black water, following eye line, we see the reflections of the stars, and then in the depth of focus, we see him seeing himself in the reflection, looking as if he's all by himself, in the reflection]
Narrator: I feel so lonely.
[A cutaway shot to the son tightly in the framing]
Father: there so many of them...
Narrator: I feel so useless.
Father: Each and every one of them important!
Narrator: I'm not. I often wonder what it would be like if I never existed. Would all my emotions go away?
[Suddenly the sea picks up and begins to get chaotic]
Father: Oh don't worry it's just a little rocky now, well be fine.
Son [crying screaming]: it's not fine!
The son gets knocked off the boat.
As the sea pulls him further away from the boat, the father remains calm.
Father: Son, you'll be okay.
Narrator: No. No, I won't be. I am not okay.
Son begins to sink.
Graphic text/narrator: I am not okay.
Graphic text/narrator: I don't deserve to be in this world, I'm surrounded by darkness.
Son lets himself drowned and begins to let himself sink down.
Everything goes black.

'It's OK Not To Be OK
| Sometimes it feels like society says you should be always happy, and that showing your sadness is a sign of weakness. This is far from true – if you were to hold in all your sadness or anger you would explode. We all have good and bad days
youmatter.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ok-not-ok/'
Having emotions and feelings doesn’t make you weak. Having emotions and feelings makes you human. It’s okay not to be okay. You may say that you don’t see an end to your pain, but as I discovered, the only way out of your pain is through it.
